Molly Flanders Wraps-Along

Our dear Mary of Molly Flanders is the first to post on our Ruby Star Wrap-Along blog tour... featuring projects from the book Ruby Star Wrapping.
She stitched up some lovely fabric and felt envelopes and made some of the beautiful Newspaper Flowers using fabric instead. These will adorn a suitcase card catcher at her daughters upcoming wedding.. sweet.. sweet..sweet!

Mary Points to us

She's done it again. That Mary Dugan. Another gorgeous mouth watering quilt is hanging in the shoppe for us to gush over... it's like a delicious little baby you just want to snuggle and eat at the same time!!! The colors are like candy for my eyes! CANT. STAND. THIS.

The pattern is of course the Point Me quilt by Denyse Schmidt, but Mary has some great tips if your going to undertake this cute quilt and sham pattern... Check the following post in which she's writen about them on her blog...

above she talks about her method of basting and quilting.

and..

An Even Easier Arrow....

in which she offers an even easier method for piecing the arrows!

Is'nt she awesome?!?!
We think so!!

Our Marvelous Mary!

As many of you already know (and may even follow) our very own Mary Dugan has taken the blog world by storm!

In fact one of her tutorials was featured on Craftzine just the other day. They showcased her Flowering Snowball how-to, for which Mary provides her own block template for readers to print and size to their liking.

Mary is an amazing addition to our Sew To Speak team. She graciously works in the shoppe most Saturdays and teaches many great classes. If you've admired any of our many quilt samples or perhaps the patchwork pillows, chances are it was made by Mary!

Mary's blog Molly Flanders has gained 400+ followers. There, she lovingly writes about her quilting, her daughters, her family, dog, students, antiquing, garage sales, her garden and more.

She is truely an inspiration, now not only to those who see her work in our little shop but to the entire world.  As I recently wrote in a comment to her, I'm truly in AWE!

All photos in this post are from Mary's blog, Molly Flanders. The top photo is a sample of one of Mary's newest classes, her Union Jack Pillow Class

Go Mary!
If you didn't already know, WE ADORE YOU!

Also, being that I'm a bit swamped by a new baby and her wild big sister, I've invited Mary to help write for our blog. So lets all cross our fingers and hope to hear for her HERE soon   ;)
